From M1 Southbound and Northampton
From M1 Junction 15 (Northampton) take A508 south (“Stony Stratford”) or from Northampton ring road (M1 Junction 15A) take A43 to Towcester and then A5 south. At Old Stratford roundabout (A508/A5 junction) take A422 to Buckingham. Follow ring road (A421) south and west round Buckingham until you reach a stretch of dual carriageway: the Tingewick by-pass. A few hundred metres along dual carriageway (just beyond the second bridge over the road), you’ll see the airfield’s orange windsock ahead on the left. Take the first left turn (“Barton Hartshorn”, “Chetwode”). The airfield gate is 30 metres on the right. Please park your car in the lay-by on the road and walk through the gate.
From M1 Northbound and Milton Keynes
From M1 Junction 13 (Milton Keynes) take A421 west (“Buckingham”). Follow A421 all the way round Buckingham ring road until you reach a stretch of dual carriageway: the Tingewick by-pass. A few hundred metres along dual carriageway (just beyond the second bridge over the road), you’ll see the airfield’s orange windsock ahead on the left. Take the first left turn (“Barton Hartshorn”, “Chetwode”). The airfield gate is 30 metres on the right. Please park your car in the lay-by on the road and walk through the gate.
From the M40
Leave M40 at Junction 10. Take the A43 (“Northampton”). At the large roundabout with the A421/B4031, take the A421 east (“Buckingham”). At the Finmere roundabout, continue on the A421 (“Buckingham”), which turns into a stretch of dual carriageway for about a mile. You’ll pass the airfield’s orange windsock on the right. Continue to the next roundabout, then double-back onto A421 westbound. A few hundred metres along dual carriageway (just beyond the second bridge over the road), you’ll see the airfield’s orange windsock ahead on the left. Take the first left turn (“Barton Hartshorn”, “Chetwode”). The airfield gate is 30 metres on the right. Please park your car in the lay-by on the road and walk through the gate.
